It also supports UNIX, Linux and Windows native commands, facilitating a gradual transition to more native equivalencies.
MPE files supported on other platforms
KSAM and other ﬂat ﬁles may continue to be used on other platforms. AMXW migrates KSAM ﬁles to equivalent ﬁle systems or RDBMSs. AMXW also supports the most common use of ﬂat ﬁle access, including Sequential, Temporary, Circular, RIO, Catalog, Byte stream and Message ﬁles.
