The company formerly known as Speedware is today officially changing its name to Fresche Legacy. CEO Andy K. says the new name better reflects the new direction the Montreal, Quebec, company has taken in recent years.
MONTREAL - Speedware Inc., a Montreal IT company with roots going back 36 years, has been remade and renamed Fresche Legacy and has begun an ambitious new growth phase. CEO Andy Kulakowski said 18 months ago he and a group of employees felt Speedware was in a rut and its U.S. owners didn’t show much ambition to invest in its longer-term future.
Montreal, Quebec (February 3, 2011) -- Speedware, a provider of legacy management and IT modernization solutions, today announced that it has signed an agreement with COBOL-IT to distribute COBOL-IT’s enterprise class open source COBOL in the North American market and to provide North American based support to COBOL-IT users.
